Samsung 40 inch Full HD OLED Display Monitor in 2009

Samsung unveiled the world first 40 inch Full HD OLED display, an update of their previous prototype. Relationship contrast with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The prototype is an update of a previous 40-inch OLED display, Samsung, which first began development in 2005. This first screen, while the same size, had only a resolution of 1280 x 800 and a contrast ratio of 5000:1. Samsung has demonstrated the latest addition to the standard 14-inch and 31-inch prototype which was introduced recently in Imides in Korea.

In 40-inch full HD, the group is a world-first. Samsung has given no indication if or when this screen will be marketed, but the company has argued that the screens amoled will become economically viable in 2009.
