ATI Alienware Area-51 M17 AMD GPU Notebook

The Alienware Area-51 M17 is the first notebook to incorporate ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology, and the machine can be equipped with a pair of AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 graphics chips to frame rates of up to 80 percent higher to achievable with a single GPU.

The M17 is equipped with the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 processor – the chip giant’s first quad-core mobile CPU – Intel chipset and has PM45 on board. Up to 4 GB of DDR memory 3 also is available.

The machine has a 17in, 1920 x 1200 display and storage will not be a problem because it can be equipped with up to two 5400RPM, RAID 0-linked, hard drives of 500 GB. Whether it’s a DVD-Firmat writer or a Blu-ray reader can put in the tank.

It also comes with a seven in a card reader and media start-802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connections. Design-wise, the M17 is the body of a cast in “soft-touch, matte black finish to protect the machine from scratches and fingerprints. The classic Alienware logo on the cover players so close to knowing what is at stake.

Alienware the M17 is now available in the UK, with prices starting at £ 1000 ($ 1584 / € 1242).
